It’s about time I post a little update for all of you who have made this trip possible and are praying for me! I hope you are doing well. Please know that I appreciate your support more than I could possibly put into words! I received an email from a friend today who teaches third grade at Calvary Christian School. She wrote to let me know that her third graders are praying for me this week. Stuff like that will make a guy’s day!
I apologize for not posting more frequently. Many of you have heard about Mac’s injury. His hard drive decided to stop working a couple weeks into my trip. I’m sorry to burden you with such a sad story. No worries though, the repairs are being completed and Mac should be back in Ghana within the next few weeks. I will continue to post as much as possible until then but you will have to wait for the good stuff (pictures & videos).
God is greatly blessing already. The Sisco family arrived the day before me and they already have a house and should be moved in by early next week. This would have to be considered a miracle in Ghana! Everything tends to move pretty slowly here. We are still waiting for Bro. & Sis. Poitras to arrive. Please pray for their quick and safe return!
I am moved into my house and all settled in. I will post a video tour for you when my computer gets back. Bible College classes start next week so most of my time is being spent in preparation for that. I will also begin a regular schedule of preaching starting this Sunday. I covet your prayers!
Two ways you can pray for Ghana:
- We are seriously under-churched in Northern Ghana which has a high percentage of Muslims. Pray the Lord would open doors and send forth laborers.
- The University of Ghana is right here Accra; it is West Africa’s premier university. There are 45,000+ students and we have no permanent witness on campus. With God’s help, we hope to see that change. Imagine the impact of reaching these students, many of whom will return to their home countries with the Gospel!
Thanks again for your prayers and support!
