Ministry Bio

Tyler attended Indiana Bible College for four years (2003-2007) graduating Valedictorian of his class in May, 2007 with a BA in Biblical Studies with a Minor in Theology. During his tenure at Indiana Bible College he was privileged to serve his fellow students as Sophomore and Junior Class President and Student Body President his Senior year.

Tyler stayed busy learning and working for the Lord between each year of Bible College.  He visited Greece on an educational/missions trip, tracing the steps of the Apostle Paul and ministering in local churches. He also served a three-month internship as Youth Pastor in Cookeville, TN with Bro. Ron Phillips. After graduating, Tyler spent two months in the country of Ghana, West Africa with the Next Steps Program under the direction of Bro. Lloyd Shirley and Missionaries Bro. Poitras and Bro. Sisco. While in Ghana, he ministered to the spiritual needs of the people, helped to establish a brand new church in an unchurched region, taught in the portable Bible College, taught at an annual pastor’s seminar, and ministered in weekly tent revivals and crusades.

Upon returning from Ghana, Tyler began serving as an associate minister at Warsaw United Pentecostal Church. He served as the Sunday School Promotions Director and Outreach/Evangelism Coordinator. He also received his General Ministerial License with the UPCI.

In July, 2010 Tyler launched out into full-time evangelism to prepare for a six-month AIM appointment to Ghana, West Africa beginning in January, 2011. While in Ghana Tyler taught Spiritual Leadership and Writing Techniques at ACTS Ghana Bible College, assisted Rev. James Poitras with GATS, and ministered in local congregations throughout the country.

Tyler currently serves as Associate Pastor at The Pentecostals: Church of Second Chances in Marshall, IL and Director of the Online Education Division of the UPCI Global Missions Division.
